First aid training

Date: 18/02/2018

The EMS PL Foundation invites companies to first aid courses.

An amendment to the Labour Code (Journal of Laws of 18 December 2008, No. 223, item 1460) requires an employer to appoint employees responsible for giving first aid and to make sure they are trained.

We can help, and we invite you to a first aid course (BLS) run by the foundation.

A basic first aid course covers, among other things:

Standards of pre-hospital care
The chain of survival
How the body reacts to a lack of oxygen
The legal side of giving help
Rescuer safety at the scene
How to call for help, and the emergency numbers
The recovery position — scenario practice
Assessing an unconscious person
Assessing vital signs
What to do with an unconscious person, and with choking
Hands-on CPR for one rescuer and for two

We can also add a module on using an AED defibrillator. That is an extended basic first aid course (BLS), focused on effective resuscitation with an AED. Each participant can practise using an AED.

The length and the price are agreed individually.

Each participant receives a named certificate of completion.

All income from the service is used for the foundation’s statutory purposes, including the rescue group that works within the foundation.
